26th October 2014 Windsurfing: Broadhaven Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: 18-30mph Surf / Sea State: Clean, soft waves Air Temperature: OK Sea Temperature: OK Weather: Overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: Light and slightly cross-on to start with. OK getting out except for the odd double wave which was tricky. Some fun, backside rides, then I tried frontside - lost power as I turned, need to get more speed off a backside turn first. Wind picked up and went cross-shore, easier frontside now and a few jumps on way out. Changed down, great for a while, but then overpowered so called it a day. Great, fun session - think my sailing has improved with the PH Donegal Masterclass - plenty to work at. |
